01 · The brief

What WeeVendor (own product) needed

Most shops in Pakistan still run on paper: a khata for the customers who buy on credit, a notebook of stock and a cash count at night that rarely matches the day. The software that exists is usually billed by the month and needs the internet to work, which rules it out for the shopkeepers who need it most. I wanted something a mobile shop or a kiryana store could install in a minute and trust with its numbers: free, offline, and private enough that no figure ever has to leave the phone.

02 · What I built

How it works

WeeVendor is a Flutter app for Android that keeps the whole shop on the device. Stock carries IMEI and serial numbers for phone shops, every bill takes its items out of stock, and each customer has a khata with a running udhaar balance and a WhatsApp reminder that writes the amount for them. Around that sit installment plans with the next qist due, repair jobs, cash in hand, suppliers and purchases with a ledger of their own, staff, customer loyalty and a profit summary that arrives as a notification at the end of the day. The interface ships in English today, with an Urdu translation on the way. Backup goes to the shopkeeper's own Google Drive, and the usage statistics the app reports were designed so they cannot hold a money figure, a customer name or a phone number: the server refuses any text in event data.

  • Stock and inventory, with IMEI and serial numbers for phones
  • Fast billing with receipts, taking items out of stock as they sell
  • A khata per customer with the udhaar balance and WhatsApp payment reminders
  • Installment (EMI) plans with paid and pending amounts
  • Repair jobs from intake to hand back
  • Cash in hand, suppliers, purchases and a supplier ledger
  • Staff, customer loyalty and a daily profit summary notification
  • Fully offline, with an optional backup to the shopkeeper’s own Google Drive

What it runs on

The tools behind the build and the job each one does.

01FlutterThe Android app: billing, stock, khata and every other screen. English today, with Urdu on the way.
02On-device storageEvery sale, balance and customer is stored on the phone, so the shop runs with no connection at all.
03Google Drive backupAn optional backup to the shopkeeper’s own Drive, to restore the shop on a new phone.
04WhatsApp linksPayment reminders open in WhatsApp with the customer and the amount already filled in.
05Local notificationsThe day’s sales and profit, delivered at closing time.
06Privacy-safe telemetryUsage statistics checked against an allowlist on the server, which rejects money figures, names and phone numbers.
The result04 · Outcome

What it delivered

A shop management app that runs with no internet and no account, free while it is in beta with every feature unlocked. Version 1.5 shipped on 14 October 2026 and downloads from its own page on this site, and every shop's data stays on the shop's own phone.

  • Runs fully offline: billing, stock and khata need no internet
  • IMEI and serial tracking for mobile phone shops
  • Khata and udhaar with WhatsApp payment reminders
  • Installments, repairs, suppliers and a daily profit summary in the same app
  • Free while in beta, with every feature unlocked
  • Usage statistics that cannot carry money, names or phone numbers
